Expect These Interview QuestionsA job interview will determine whether you fit in the company youre applying for. From a companys perspective, it means looking for the right people. You wonder what it means. Lets assess the questions commonly asked during the interview. Have a lookTell us about yourself? Your answer must be a few minutes long. Its important to go through your resume, and make sure that your skills are the one that the interviewer has in mind. Specify tasks you done in the past, which can make you stand out. Pay attention to the facial expression and body language of the interviewer. This may be hard to do, but this is where your instinct plays a part. And it will be an important one. Dont give mora information than what the interviewer likes to hear.What are your strengths/weaknesses? As far as your strengths are concerned, its important notlage to exaggerate it. A little modesty will do. (In case youll be hired, the interviewer might be reminded of it. Not a good st art to a new job.) Avoid generalizations as well. (A perfectionist wont impress the interviewer. Being a workaholic can have negative connotations.) Your expertise can be an asset to the company (youre applying for). Elaborate on it, but dont go overboard. (You might be perceived as overqualified.) As for your weaknesses, keep in mind that the interviewer wants to know how you deal with it. This will show when there are many things to do in the workplace. Get to know the company youre applying for, which will give you an idea on what to talk about. But dont sound too rehearsed.Why do you want this job? Its not hard as it seems. Look at the companys vision. Think how your skills can help in making it happen. Dont be carried away (during the interview), as too much is not a good thing.Where would you like to be in the next five years? This will reveal your goals, but its more of a test of your loyalty. You want the best for yourself, but the company may not be the right place for you. What do you like most/least about your last job? This one will determine how will you get along with your new colleagues. Your personality will be assessed here. Unpleasant incident can happen in any place. The office is not an exception. Look at the good side. Try to generalize the situation.Therell be other questions to be asked, but no need to be nervous about it.
